Bio:
Karina Bautista is an environmental scientist whose experience covers the entire food supply chain. From connecting Amazon Basin sustainable producers with markets globally, to running an agroecological research and seed bank farm. She collaborated with WWF to create the Galapagos islands’ first food loss and waste baseline and educational awareness campaign, led research of COVID’s impact on food security on the islands, and is a member of Ecuador’s Seed Guardian Network’s board. Karina now works with Verra on Food Systems Innovation, creating financial incentives to help accelerate & finance climate action across the global food supply chain.
