Bio:

Amy Keister is the Senior Vice President of Sustainability & Retail Solutions for Compass Group North America as part of the Envision Group. Envision Group is a visionary team created to shape the future of foodservice, with the focus of business growth and leveraging strategic partnerships.

Amy plays an integral part in shaping Compass Group’s groundbreaking global sustainability strategy. This strategy includes actionable targets that will positively impact people and planet, drive growth, and futureproof our business. She is also a founding member of Stop Food Waste Day, a global day of action created to raise awareness of the issue surrounding food waste and provide everyday solutions for individuals and organizations.

In addition to overseeing our sustainability strategy and programs, Amy is responsible for setting the retail strategy that drives growth within the categories of beverage, snack, and coffee using market research and data analytics.  She also manages Market, a flexible retail space that creates dynamic customer experiences with a blend of operational, digital, and physical innovations that drive both sales and participation. This bold, industry-changing space activating solution is commercially, socially, and environmentally balanced.

 

Amy is on the board of The Center for Environmental Farming Systems, a partnership of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and North Carolina State University.

Amy has been with Compass Group since 2004 and had served in several Purchasing, Project Management, and Corporate Development roles. She has managed several enterprise-wide initiatives in the areas of technology, finance, purchasing, and distribution. She was a board member on Loaves and Fishes Loaves and Fishes, which seeks to match a week’s worth of healthy groceries with underprivileged families.

Amy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Information Systems from James Madison University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Amy lives in Fort Mill, SC, with her husband and two adorable children.
