2024 ReFED Food Waste Solutions Summit

Ed currently serves as the SVP/GMM for Sam’s Club Fresh Merchandising.  Ed joined US Walmart Stores in 2009 and held several roles including Marketing Director-Private Brands, Category Director, and Sr. Category Director Produce merchandising.  In 2013, Ed was assigned as VP/GMM for the Walmart Japan/Seiyu Fresh Division which included their Produce, Meat, and Seafood Merchandising and Manufacturing businesses. Before Walmart, Ed was the General Manager for the Value-added Salad and Snacks division of NA Chiquita Brands International.  In previous roles, he worked in Brand Management at Procter and Gamble and served as a Finance Captain in the US Army.

Ed is originally from Detroit, Michigan and graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He is married to Nicole Hardiman, originally from Rogers, Arkansas, and together they have two children:  Dito-age 12 and Lily-age 9.
