Eric Weaver is a long-time digital technologies expert who has been at the leading edge of multiple waves of innovation. Eric started his career as a software developer for General Motors before becoming one of the very first digital marketers in 1994. Over the years, Eric has provided strategic counsel and built advanced digital solutions for nearly 100 global brands, persuading senior executives to embrace everything from e-commerce to IoT, printed electronics, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.

Raised below the poverty line and with limited food choices, Eric developed a profound dislike for food waste and hunger at an early age. As an adult, Eric and his wife have been involved in multiple hunger relief efforts and regularly cook for Seattle-area shelters.

In 2020, Eric founded Transparent Path, a tech platform designed to reduce industrial-scale food loss within supply chains. The Transparent Path platform uses continuously-connected IoT sensors and predictive artificial intelligence to create real-time, end-to-end cargo visibility — keeping food and pharmaceuticals out of landfills. The company currently monitors critical shipments in the US, South America, Australia, South Africa and Europe.

Eric has been quoted in nearly 30 industry publications. With over 15 awards for marketing excellence, he lectures for universities in the US, Canada, Ireland and elsewhere, and speaks globally on topics like transparency, sustainability, and ethics.
