Beyond the US: International Opportunities to Funding Food Waste Solutions
Breakout Session 3
What can we learn from organizations who are successfully scaling food waste solutions outside of the U.S., and what role does philanthropy play in elevating these efforts? From 2022-23, the Posner Foundation launched their first-ever food waste grantee cohort, focused on projects across the globe that are tackling upstream solutions through changing consumer behaviors. In this session, learn from organizations in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa about how they work to solve food waste in their respective communities, what lessons can be applied to the U.S. and other countries, and how philanthropy can support the growth of these international opportunities.
