Allan Huttema was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Darigold in 2023 after serving as the company’s Board Chair three years and as a Darigold Board director for nine years as a dairy farmer representing Idaho’s Treasure Valley region. Throughout his tenure on the Board, Allan served on the Governance, Executive/Long-Term Strategy, Finance and Risk, and Quality committees. He was elected Vice Chair in 2016 and Chair in 2020.

Allan has operated a farm for more than 20 years in Parma, Idaho. He first began dairy farming in 1992, when he purchased a dairy farm in British Columbia from his grandfather, who emigrated from Holland after World War II. Allan farmed in Whatcom County, WA, from 2003 until moving his farm to its current location in Idaho. Since taking on the role of President and CEO at Darigold, Allan has turned over day-to-day operation of his farm to his adult children.

A native of Canada, Allan studied Agriculture Education in British Columbia before taking over his first dairy farm.
