Bio:

Hunt Briggs is a senior consultant and organics practice lead with RRS (recycle.com), a circular economy consultancy. With a scientific approach and systems thinking, Hunt helps organizations navigate the complexities of advancing the circular bioeconomy throughout the value chain. Upstream, he collaborates with leading consumer brands to develop innovative product and packaging solutions focused on recyclability and biodegradability. Downstream, he helps to advance practical solutions for managing waste, including composting, anaerobic digestion, and other emerging recycling technologies.

A highlight of Hunt's career includes contributing as a coauthor of ReFED’s groundbreaking Roadmap to Reduce U.S. Food Waste, which pioneered the macro-analysis for reducing, recovering, and recycling domestic surplus food. His early interest in food waste was originally sparked during an undergraduate deep dive into food security, and his enthusiasm was later reignited through the development of small-scale technologies for anaerobic digestion of food waste.
