Bio:
Kamal Sidhu (he/him) is an owner of Sidhu Farms. Kamal and his brothers operate the family-run berry farm in Puyallup, Washington, building on a rich generational legacy of farming their father brought from Punjab, India, when he moved to the United States and established the farm in 1997. The Sidhu family is passionate about cultivating delicious berries using sustainable and natural methods and believe in fostering a healthy environment for their berries to thrive, from the soil they grow in to the way they manage pests. Kamal and his brothers specialize in berries—with blueberries being the pride and joy—and also grow row crop vegetables, pumpkins, and rhubarb.

So what are the realities that our farmers are facing? What are the challenges and risks? And more important, what are the opportunities to reduce on-farm loss and get more food into the supply chain? Join this session to find out.
