Kyle Wyche is transforming the food waste landscape as the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Ecotone Renewables, a cleantech startup that is diverting food waste from landfills through innovative anaerobic digestion technology. Their ZERO Emission Upcycling Systems, ZEUS, are fully autonomous biodigesters.
As a Forbes "30 Under 30" recipient, Kyle brings his background in Ecology and Evolution to develop practical, scalable solutions for the circular economy. Under his operational leadership, Ecotone has raised over $4M in funding and successfully deployed systems across the country primarily in the Northeast but also with their most recent deployment to California.
Kyle's expertise in translating complex environmental processes into accessible systems stems from his research at Harvard Forest, where his work with the "A Witness Tree" project garnered 10,000 followers by connecting environmental science with public engagement. His six years managing ZEUS digesters provides deep technical knowledge of waste-to-resource transformation.
With an MBA in Sustainable Business Development and Data Analytics from the University of Pittsburgh, Kyle focuses on building strategic partnerships that integrate sustainable solutions into existing supply chains and strengthen local food systems.
Through Ecotone's work, Kyle is demonstrating how businesses can transform food waste challenges into economic and environmental opportunities—creating value where others see only waste.
