Bio:

Sarah Freed is a global sustainability and social impact leader who currently leads Starbucks' Global Food Rescue strategy, including the award-winning FoodShare food donation program in the United States. She also oversees the investment portfolio for Starbucks' commitment to reinvest $100M into food waste reduction and hunger relief.

Prior to her work at Starbucks, Sarah spent nearly a decade in international economic development, where she focused on supporting entrepreneurship education and workforce development programs for youth and women around the world. Recognizing the potential for the private sector to drive meaningful change, she moved into the social impact and sustainability field, holding leadership positions at Uber Technologies and Starbucks Coffee Company.

Sarah holds a Master of Business in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge in the U.K.. She lives in Seattle, WA, with her husband, two kids, and rescue pup. Her favorite Starbucks drink is Pike Place brewed in a French press with vanilla sweet cream.
