Sanne Stroosnijder (MSc) is a leading expert and connector in the field of food loss and waste prevention, dedicated to accelerating systemic change towards more sustainable and circular food systems.

After nearly nine years at Wageningen University & Research, where she led research and innovation programmes on food loss and waste prevention, Sanne is now fully dedicated to the Food Waste Free United Foundation — the Dutch food waste pact that brings together over 100 businesses, governments, knowledge institutes, and civil society organisations to deliver SDG 12.3 and halve food waste in the Netherlands by 2030.

Sanne is deeply embedded in the international food waste community and leads a dedicated network of European food waste practitioners. She is an active partner in the Food Pact Network and a regular participant in the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste.

Throughout her career, Sanne has worked at the intersection of business, consumer behaviour change, science, and policy, translating knowledge into practical action, impactful collaborations, and scalable solutions. She is a frequent international speaker and moderator, known for her engaging style, systems perspective, and belief in the power of collaboration — and serendipity — to drive meaningful change.
